Mesut is primarily active in the indie, fusion and electronica genres. With international acts such as East Cameron Folkcore, Felidae, Roman Fischer and Tubbe he toured Europe-wide, with various TV appearances and numerous releases on various labels.

His training includes private lessons with Claus Hessler and Jojo Mayer, as well as with John Riley at the Manhattan School of Music, New York.

He is currently working with Norwegian artist Kaja Bremnes, Australian singer-songwriter Madeleine Duke, and his solo project MST, a multi-instrumental live-looping project.

He completed the intensive drumset course at the Downtown Music Intitute in Augsburg with an award.
